The Notes and the video link are  written so that the majority of the teaching is done live - including telling the story. This can be done in a variety of ways from the children acting it out, using objects to retell it or reading it from the Bible. This allows more engagement and involvement from the children in the room.

Big Point - God is AWESOME!!

Bible Verse  John 15:5 says ‘I am the vine, and you are the branches. If a person remains in me and I remain in him, then he produces much fruit. But without me he can do nothing.’

Overview. Back in Bible times, the Jewish people chose names for their babies based on who they wanted their kids to be when they grew up or what the babies looked like or acted like. Similarly, the different names of God in the Bible show his different characteristics, names like God Almighty, Father, Christ, Deliverer, Beginning and the End, Good Shepherd, Provider and Protector. These are just some of the many, many names used for God in the Bible. God is Holy and we should treat His name as such as Christians. In Leviticus 22:31-32, God says, “You must faithfully keep all my commands by putting them into practice, for I am the Lord. Do not bring shame on my holy name, for I will display my holiness among the people of Israel. I am the Lord who makes you holy.”

When we pray we can speak out these names as a way of praising God, but it also gives us faith as we remember who He is.

We want the children to learn that recognising the awesomeness of God at the start of our prayers gives us faith to know that, not only does He hear us, but we can trust Him in all things -  we know we can pray big prayers because God is amazing.

Many thanks for serving this week!

Let’s get ready for a fun packed Term as we help these young children on their journey in prayer. Right from a young age we want to encourage them to talk to God, learn to hear his voice and have a simple understanding of what prayer is and how they can have direct access to their Heavenly Father, their Saviour Jesus, and their Helper the Holy Spirit. To help you do this we’ve provided an 8 week curriculum pack full of ideas for you to adapt and use, along with 8 stories  - one for each week.

Thank you for serving with the Preschoolers!
