Week 1 – God Promised a Rescuer
This week in Emmanuel Kids, we began our exciting new series, The Promised King!
Through story time, songs, games and play, the children discovered the wonderful truth that God loves us!
We explored the story of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3 and learned how God made a beautiful garden for them. Even when Adam and Eve made a wrong choice and didn’t listen to God, God still loved them!

We discovered that right from the beginning, God had an amazing rescue plan and promised to send Jesus!
Our Big Truth this week was:
“God loves us!”
Our Bible verse reminds us:
“Our God is a God who saves.” – Psalm 68:20
As we begin our journey through The Promised King, we're excited to help the children discover that God always keeps His promises!

Through games, Bible teaching and activities, the children became Promise Detectives 🔎, beginning their journey through the Bible to uncover God's promises and discover His amazing rescue plan.
We explored Adam and Eve's story from Genesis 3:1–24 and learned how sin entered God's good world when they chose to not listen to Him.

But God didn't give up on His people! He promised to send a Rescuer to save us from sin — and that Rescuer is JESUS!
Our first clue was 🔎 A RESCUER IS COMING!
Our Big Truth this week was:
“God promised to send a Rescuer!”
Our Key Verse was:
“Our God is a God who saves.” – Psalm 68:20
Chat about it at home: Ask your child, “Why do we need a Rescuer, and who did God promise to send?” Remind them that God loves us and always keeps His promises!

We’re excited to introduce our new series for our preschoolers, THE PROMISED KING!

Each week, children will explore how God promised to send a special King, how Jesus came into the world, and why He is the best King of all!
Through simple stories and fun, hands-on activities, we’ll help children discover that Jesus is the King God promised, who came because He loves us and wants us to know Him.
Our hope is that every child will begin to understand who Jesus is, how much He loves them and why He is so special, and joyfully say:
