Here’s what we learnt at Emmanuel Kids today.

  • Sunday 6th September

    This week our Preschoolers had a wonderful time starting our brand-new series,

    I Am Known and Loved by Jesus!

    Through story time, songs, games and play, the children discovered the story of Zacchaeus from Luke 19:1–10.

    Zacchaeus climbed a tree to see Jesus, but when Jesus came past, He stopped, looked up and called Zacchaeus by name!

    We talked about how Jesus knew Zacchaeus, even when he had made wrong choices, and Jesus still loved him.

    Just like Zacchaeus, Jesus knows each of our children personally too. He knows their names, knows everything about them and loves them.

    Our Big Truth this week was:

    “Jesus knows my name!”

    Chat about it at home: Ask your child, “Who knows your name?” and encourage them to answer, “Jesus!” You could also remind them throughout the week: “Jesus knows you and Jesus loves you!”

    We had a brilliant time together and can’t wait to continue discovering what it means to be Known and Loved by Jesus next week!

  • Sunday 6th September

    This week our 3–5s had a wonderful time starting our brand-new series, Known and Loved by Jesus!

    Through the Bible story, games, crafts and play, the children discovered the story of Zacchaeus from Luke 19:1–10. Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, but he was too short to see over the crowd, so he climbed a tree. When Jesus came along, He stopped, looked up and called Zacchaeus by name!

    We discovered that out of all the people in the crowd, Jesus saw Zacchaeus and knew him personally. Jesus knew his name, knew all about him and wanted to spend time with him.

    We talked about how Jesus knows us too. He knows our names, when we’re happy or sad, the things we enjoy and even the things we find difficult—and He loves us!

    Our Big Truth this week was:

    “Jesus knows my name!”

    Our Bible verse was Psalm 139:1: “You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.”

    Chat about it at home: Ask your child, “Who knew Zacchaeus’ name?” and “Who knows your name?” Remind them together: “Jesus knows my name!”

    We loved seeing the children join in as they discovered that they are known and loved by Jesus, and we can’t wait to continue the series together next week!

  • Sunday 6th September

    This week at Emmanuel Kids, our 5–11s began our brand-new series, I Am Known and Loved by Jesus, by discovering a wonderful truth: Jesus knows me completely and loves me completely.

    We looked at the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1–10. Zacchaeus was a tax collector who wasn’t very popular, but when Jesus came to Jericho, He stopped beneath the tree Zacchaeus had climbed, called him by name and chose to spend time with him.

    We discovered that while other people focused on Zacchaeus’ mistakes, Jesus saw someone He knew and loved. Meeting Jesus changed Zacchaeus, and he wanted to put things right and live differently.

    Our Big Truth was:

    Jesus knows me completely and loves me completely.

    Through games, teaching, prayer and small-group activities, we explored what it means to be completely known by Jesus. He knows our names, what makes us happy, what worries us, what we’re good at and even the things we find difficult—and He loves us completely.

    Our verse was Psalm 139:1: “Lord, you know everything about me.”

    Chat about it at home: Ask your child, “How did Jesus show Zacchaeus that He knew and loved him? How does it make you feel knowing that Jesus knows everything about you and loves you?”

    We had a brilliant time together! Next week, we’ll discover another important truth about who we are—God made each of us unique and wonderfully special.

  • We’re excited to introduce our new six-week Preschool series, I AM KNOWN & LOVED BY JESUS!

    Through Bible stories, songs, play, prayer and creative activities, our preschoolers will begin to discover who Jesus is and how much He loves them.

    Each week introduces a simple Bible truth, helping our little ones know that God made them, Jesus knows them, Jesus loves them, and they belong in God’s family.

    Our hope is to build strong foundations of faith from an early age, with one big message they can remember:

    “JESUS KNOWS ME. JESUS LOVES ME!”

    Through Bible stories, worship, prayer, games and creative activities, children will discover more about who Jesus is and how He sees them.

    Each week explores a simple Bible truth, helping children know they are made by God, known and loved by Jesus, forgiven, called to love others, and welcomed into God’s family.

    Our hope is to help children begin building a strong, Bible-based understanding of who they are, with one big truth to remember:

    “I AM KNOWN AND LOVED BY JESUS!”

    Through Bible stories, worship, prayer, games and activities, children will explore who Jesus is and what His love tells us about who we are.

    Each week builds on the last as children discover that they are personally known, wonderfully made, deeply loved, forgiven through Jesus, called to love others, and invited to belong in God’s family.

    Our hope is to help every child build a strong, Bible-based understanding of their identity and confidently say:

    “I AM KNOWN AND LOVED BY JESUS!”
